Drs. Kaswiner and Handsman are Certified Invisalign Providers. As specialists in orthodontics, Drs. Kaswiner and Handsman are especially equipped to handle any Invisalign treatment. We have treated over 400 Invisalign patients, placing us in the top 3 percent of all Invisalign providers in the entire country. As a result of our experience and expertise we are classified as a PREMIER INVISALIGN PROVIDER. Springfield Orthodontics has also been designated as a Teen Peer Leader. The title Teen Peer Leader is given to a limited number of Invisalign offices based on knowledge and experience in dealing with teen age Invisalign patients.

What is it?

Invisalign uses a series of invisible, removable, and comfortable aligners that no one can tell you're wearing. So, you can smile more during treatment as well as after. Invisalign is made with 3-D computer imaging technology and has been proven effective as compared to using regular braces. Also available is Invisalign Express, for less complex problems, not only is it significantly less costly, but average treatment times are six months or less!

What are the costs?

Invisalign fees are approximately the same as those for standard braces. We pride ourselves in keeping our Invisalign fees lower than many other providers. This includes practitioners who have far less education and experience in Invisalign treatment. Today we also have available an Invisalign Express treatment where fees are considerably less than regular braces. All fees in our office, whether for braces or Invisalign are always broken down over time with NO finance charges. We are committed to making the costs involved NEVER stand in the way of allowing our patients to have Invisalign treatment! For your convenience we take payments by check, cash, all major credit cards and Care Credit.

Why would I want it?

Not only are the aligners invisible, they are removable, so you can eat and drink what you want while in treatment. If you choose you can even wear them while eating and drinking. Plus, brushing and flossing are no problem. They are also comfortable, with no metal to cause mouth abrasions during treatment. And no metal and wires usually means you spend less time in your doctor's office getting adjustments. Invisalign also allows you and your dentist to view your own virtual treatment plan when you start so you can see how your straight teeth will look when your treatment is complete.

How does it work?

You wear each set of aligners for about 2 weeks, removing them only to brush, and floss. As you replace each aligner with the next in the series, your teeth will move — little by little, week by week — until they have straightened to the final position Drs. Kaswiner and Handsman have prescribed. You'll visit our office about once every 6 weeks to ensure that your treatment is progressing as planned. Total treatment time averages 9-15 months and the average number of aligners worn during treatment is between 18 and 30, but both will vary from case to case.
