Appointment Policies

At Springfield Orthodontics, we believe your time is valuable. Please work with us to allow for punctual, on-time office visits. A missed (broken or canceled) appointment adversely affects treatment progress. Every possible effort should be made to keep these scheduled appointments.

For each missed appointment, anticipate a month of additional treatment time.

A missed appointment may result in a new appointment during school hours. This is especially true if the appointment is 40 minutes or longer.

Long appointments (30 minutes and longer) are scheduled between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. (during school hours).  We will supply a school excuse note for your child to bring back to school.

All possible efforts should be made to keep scheduled appointments. These appointments are set at intervals that allow for the optimal treatment results and this strongly contributes to the braces being removed on schedule.

Please try to arrive several minutes EARLY for your scheduled appointment. We run a busy practice which RUNS ON SCHEDULE! Your punctuality is greatly appreciated. If you are more than 15 minutes late for your appointment, you may have to reschedule your appointment. We will try to do everything we can to see you that day, but it may not be possible. Please call us if you are running late — we thank you!

If you are unable to keep your scheduled appointment please call as soon as possible to inform us and reschedule. If you miss or cancel an appointment it may be difficult to be rescheduled the following day or two. So, please keep your appointments unless it is truly impossible.

Never allow financial considerations to get in the way of keeping a scheduled appointment. This can cause major treatment problems. We will never refuse to see a patient because they are behind in their financial responsibilities!
