Summer is the perfect time to relax, take a vacation, and hang out by the pool. It is also a great time to make an orthodontic appointment with Springfield Orthodontics.

1. A More Flexible Schedule. While we don't work Saturday mornings in the summer, our schedule is still very flexible. Patients can come in early in the morning before heading out to the pool or the beach, or visit us later in the day after a day full of fun! Our initial consultations are rather quick and painless allowing the day to be enjoyed.

2. Enjoy our Air Conditioning! We all feel the record setting heat, but at our office, we like to keep things nice and cold so patients feel refreshed. Sit in a chair upstairs and use our free Wi-Fi to check emails, or play our new X-Box game while you wait to be seated for your appointment.

3. Save Some Money! Until the end of the summer, we are holding a Mothers' and Fathers' Day special on Invisalign. Mothers and fathers receive a complimentary $500 off their treatment, but hurry because this deal is only good for several more weeks!

4. Avoid Missing School. As mentioned before, our schedules are still very flexible during the summer, especially for starting braces. However, most appointments to put on braces are scheduled for the morning. This means if braces are put on during the school year, we ask for the patient to miss about an hour and a half of school or work, which can be tricky. If an appointment is scheduled during the summer, parents won’t have to worry about taking their child out of school allowing the procedure to fit in more with your schedule.

5. Get Used To Your New Appliances Before School Starts! The most important reason to come in this summer for a consultation is to allow an adjustment period for any procedures or appliances that may be recommended. Whether its braces, a retainer, or another appliance, these mouthpieces take a little time to get used to. Typically, schedules are more relaxed during the summer, so patients can have a few days to adjust before they have to go back to school or work.
